Soloists

Not only is a good accompanist well prepared, they will compliment the soloist's performance, not over shadow it. It's a skill that not all pianist possess because one needs to be able to split their focus between themselves and the soloist.

I follow the soloist -- as though we breath together -- and am prepared for almost anything. I've learned to keep going no matter what, remaining cool and composed.

Choral Groups

There's something about the sound of many voices that always gives me chills. Having accompanied many choral groups since I was just a child, it's something that is second nature to me; knowing how and when to support the director as well as the singers.

I enjoy working for a choral director who is as committed as I am and who likes to work hard but never forgets that it should also be fun.

Musical Theater

In this realm it's critical that your accompanist not only be experienced, but reliable. I know first hand the time committment of a musical and how important it is to not waste the time of cast and crew. I'm always where I need to be and when.

Whether Rogers & Hammerstein, Sondheim or Andrew Lloyd Webber, I enjoy it all (although I do have my favorites) and relish the opportunity to do more!
